Uninteresting

Sigh. It seems like I have only been posting mind-numbing, useless blabber on my blog lately because I have had noting going on. Work has been busy and my life is on auto pilot right now. My days consist of (literally) work, gym, tan, shower, cook, bed. See...not much to write about. We do go on our trip very soon and I am excited to start getting ready for it. When we get back, it will be back on the baby train. Hopefully summer will get more exciting and I will have some meaningful posts. Snooze.

Twitter Dee...Twitter Dumb

I am twittleliterate. I joined Twitter with the intention of being a voyer. I didn't plan on posting to it or even keeping up with it in real-time. I honestly joined to follow people I know and celebrties just for kicks. The problem is that I have NO IDEA how to read what I am looking at. For example:

OK...I got a blog. I got on facebook. But, Twitter? I can see how I would like it, but I don't like that I don't get it.

Lost and Found

I did a good deed today. Not patting myself on the back by any means. But anytime I have a chance to do something extraordinary, I always feel good about it. I went to the grocery store after work and after loading my car, I went to put the cart in the parking lot cart corral. What did I find? A PURSE! Holy crap! It was a very full ladies handbag with the zipper wide open and the wallet just sitting there on top. I looked around to see if the woman had maybe stepped away for a second, but there was nobody around. So I took the purse inside to a manager. After I got back out to my car, I had to laugh because I realized that as I was taking the purse inside I was holding it away from my body like a stinky fish. I guess subconsciously I didn't want anyone to think I was walking away with it.

Tweens Are Funny

Tonight at Target a "tween" (are 12 years olds still called this?) in line in front of me said to her fellow tween:

Tween #1: Oh it pains me to say this
Tween #2: What?
Tween #1: I can't say it
Tween #2: Can you whisper?
Tween #1: It if pains me to say it then imagine how much it would hurt for me to whisper it...gahhhh.

They were so dramatic. It just cracked me up.

Cabin Fevah

Today is the 4th day of laying around doing absolutely nothing and I am losing my mind! I was hoping to go back to work tomorrow, but I can't go back until Tuesday. I think we are going to try to get out for a little while today. I would just like to put on shoes and be a part of society for a little bit. How do shut-in's do it?

I get my stiches out Monday afternoon and go back to work on Tuesday. Between now and then, I need to get back on a somewhat normal sleep schedule. I have ignored clocks since Thursday morning and have been keeping strange hours since.

Another Harebrained Idea

Every now and then I get a harebrained idea. There was a time where I thought I would get into real estate. I took the online course, but never got my license. I quickly (actually, while taking the course) lost interest. Then there was the time I wanted to be a wedding planner. Why would I want to put up with spoiled 20 something year old brides or annoying mothers? I also went through a phase where I wanted to be a hair dresser, or work in a spa doing spa type stuff. Who am I kidding? Well now I want to start my own business again. What? I have no idea. I would like to make something that I can sell or something, but I have not a creative bone in my body. Don't get me wrong, I like my job and I give it 100%. I just want a side hobby or side business (not to be confused with a 2nd job!). So why do I get these urges to be an entrepreneur or to do something creative, when clearly, I don't have any ideas or any drive and motivation to do it? Obviously I have something that wants to come out. I guess I need to figure out where to re-direct these desires where I will actually do something or get something out of them.

I Think I'm Going to Barf!

Most of you probably know I have a "fear" of small aquarium fish...so this article, Texas bans nibbling fish pedicures, made me want to vomit. Seriously? You know this idea came from Asia-land. Ha!

Blog Design

I am frustrated today. I was playing around with different blog templates and did not save my original template. So I downloaded a few free ones and found one that I like. However, there are somethings about it that I cannot figure out. I am not techincal and I don't do any I.T. stuff, so naturally, I am getting frustrated. My blog might end up having multiple new looks over the next week or so until I can find a teplate that I like and is easy (for me) to use.

I Wussed Out of Facebook

In an effort to simplify my life, I have opted out of Facebook. I will still be keeping my blog so I can stay in touch with my friends and of course, there is still email (which seems so 5 minutes ago compared to "social networking").

Two Words...Meat Batter

I'm a nerd and I enjoy watching shows like "How it's made" on Discovery Channel. I think after tonight's episode I will never eat another hot dog again...ever.

I Got A New Car!

I got a new car tonight! It's a Volkswagon Tiguan. It's kind of a smaller version Tourag. It's black/tan and super cute!

I've Been Lazy

I have just been too lazy to blog. Since I last posted, I have joined Facebook. It's pretty cool. I have heard it can be addicting and I'll be damned...it is. I figured out how to put a link to this blog on it. Now I need to figure out how to do the reverse.

I had my IUI done a week ago and went in for blood work today to check my progesterone levels. I will know something by tomorrow or Monday. I am not sure what it will tell me, but I do know that the higher the better. I will then know by this time next week if I am pregnant. I have been feeling strange, but I am chalking it up to allergies and being super busy at work (=very tired!).

Other than getting knocked up in a less than intimate way, I haven't done too much. I saw the Batman Dark Night movie last weekend and I turned 33 this past Monday. Frank and I went to dinner for my birthday. It was pretty low key, which was nice. Then this weekend I have some birthday celebrations for a couple fiends. Friday night is Cantina Laredo and the Scat Club in Downtown Fort Worth and Saturdat night is Ocean Rock and Oui Lounge. Tis the season for birthdays!

My Next Car

So I got to drive a new VW Tiguan (the Tourag's little sister) as a loaner car and fell in love with it! It's small, lightweight, and great on gas while still having the benefits of a small SUV. It may look small on the outside too but it's very roomy on the inside!
