Baby Update
Most of you know we have been trying for a baby for 3 years now. We planned on going forward with artificial insemination this month after taking some time off and going on a much needed vacation. I went to the doctor the day before our trip and was told I had a very large cyst and they could not do the procedure this month. Looks like we are going to have to wait until the latter part of July to move forward. I will keep you all posted on our progress. :)

Trip Report - Turks & Caicos Islands
Frank and I just returned from an 8 day trip to the Turks & Caicos islands. It was beautiful and relaxing. Crystal blue clear water and white sandy beaches, you don't get much better than that. We stayed at the Royal West Indies and had a great room fully equipped with a mini kitchen and washer and dryer.
When we arrived on Saturday we had lunch at the resort restaurant, Mango Reef, and then went to the local IGA grocery store to stock our mini kitchen with some basic essentials. After that we headed right for the beach to take in the scenery and caught a great sunset.
On Sunday, we spent time laying on the beach and taking it easy with some beachy cocktails. We also explored our options for some fun excursions. We ate dinner at a very trendy (and very overpriced) restaurant at the Grace Bay Club called Anacona. Great bar/lounge area.
Monday, Frank went Scuba Diving with Caicos Adventures and I laid on the beach and by the pool soaking up the sun and reading magazines. It was very relaxing.
Tuesday, we went Kayaking with Big Blue Unlimited. I have never been kayaking before and I had a blast! It was more of an eco tour than just kayaking. The guide took us through the Mangroves and we got to see several baby lemon sharks and a baby nurse shark along with other marine life like puffer fish and strange species of jellyfish. The baby sharks and other fish use the mangroves for shelter from bigger predators until they are big enough to survive in the unprotected open waters.
Wednesday, Frank went diving with Big Blue and I went snorkeling. We had to take seperate tours because there was not room on the dive boat for me. Big Blue takes very small groups on their excursions and I liked that much better. The group of snorkelers I was with were very nice. I never would have been able to go alone a couple years ago.
Thursday we took it easy again and lounged by the pool after sleeping in.
Friday, Frank and I went Scuba Diving/Snorkeling again with Big Blue. There was room on the dive boat so I was able to go with him and snorkel around while the divers did their thing. It was pretty cool. The guides were very nice and it was fun watching all the divers.
On Saturday it was time to return home and back to reality.
(Be sure to check out the this video of a frisky dolphin . It was filmed by the ladies at Big Blue about a month ago on a snorkel tour....Ha-ha!!!)

Deal or Dud!
So I today I had my 15 minutes. I emailed Fox4 because I had an idea for their Deal or Dud segment with Steve Noviello. I mentioned in an earlier post that I bought some FitFlops. I was very curious to see if they really do work. They claim to work out your legs and butt while you walk. I was surprised to see I got an email back asking me to be the "subject". I went to meet Steve and his crew at a Podiatrist office (Dr. Crane in Grapevine). It was really interesting to see how they film it versus how it is actually aired. I don't know when it will air yet, but I will definitely let everyone know. So are the Fit Flops deals or duds? You will have to watch and find out!

Really?
Check out the article below. I think I am at a loss for words.
'Brokeback Mountain' to premiere as opera in 2013 1 day ago NEW YORK (AP) — The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose an opera based on "Brokeback Mountain," the 1997 short story by Annie Proulx that became the basis for a 2005 movie that won three Academy Awards. The opera is scheduled to premiere in spring 2013, City Opera said Sunday. It will be City Opera's second Wuorinen premiere, following "Haroun and the Sea of Stories," which was based on a Salman Rushdie novel and opened in October 2004. "Ever since encountering Annie Proulx's extraordinary story I have wanted to make an opera on it, and it gives me great joy that Gerard Mortier and New York City Opera have given me the opportunity to do so," Wuorinen said in a statement. "Brokeback Mountain" is a cowboy romance about two ranch-hand buddies who start a homosexual affair when they meet on the fictional mountain in 1963.
Maybe it won't be anything like Nathan Lane's rendition on David Letterman...or it might be just like it. Could you imagine it any other way?

Anniversary Update
Frank did good...very good. Not only did I get beautiful flowers at work with chocolates yesterday, he got me a beautiful triple strand pearl necklace similar to the one pictured above. He got me pearl earrings for Valentines, so he wanted to get me a necklace to match. That was so thoughtful of him. I told him I was sorry I didn't get him a pearl necklace too. Ha! :)

Sex and the City Report
As I mentioned below, I went to see Sex and the City with some girlfriends last night. The movie was really cute. There were sad cries and happy cries. I laughed a lot too. It's definitely a must see if you were a fan of the show. So now let me give you a little review of the actual movie theater and its patrons. If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was Showtime at the Apollo-Ladies Night. Seriously. Every Bonifa, Shakisha, Lunseta, Lavitra, and LaFonda were all there... hair weaves, big ass booty, attitude and all. So my friends and I were all in line like we were supposed to be when all of a sudden this parade of them comes up forcing themselves though the tight crowded line to get to the font of the line, which happened to be right in front of us. To make a long story short (because it makes my blood boil), when asked why they cut in front of us, major attitude came out (just as you would imagine). Bitches start lying and saying how they were here the whole time, blah blah blah. This one bitch starts fanning herself with a big ass menu that is hitting my hair every time she fans her big ass. I asked politely if she would please stop hitting me with her fanning and she was like "oh, I'm just fanning myself" and other bitchy things. I asked her then "why do you have to be such a bitch?” Well it didn't like that. Her friends did the obligatory "Oh no she did'ent" and the other friend was telling me "honey stop, it ain't worth it". Stop what? What the hell did she think I was going to do? I don't fight like animals do. I talk politely like normal people do. So while mutters of "I'll kick her ass" spewed out of their mouths, all I could do is sit there and bite my tongue to not say something extremely racial that would cause us to miss our movie. I was not worried about getting my ass kicked. With all those people around the most that would happen would be a slap on the face and the pull of my hair. I would end up looking like the victim and they would get arrested. Hmmm, I wonder if that would be a hate crime. Ha!
Anyway, I seriously am not some racist, but I do not like bullies and people of other races using the race card. Especially when they say to my friends that they just think they "all look alike". I am also the type to AVOID confrontation. I seriously don't know what got in to me. I think I am tired of people not speaking up for themselves. I honestly think that little experience taught me to speak my mind when I feel something is not right. It kind of felt good. Yes I could have got my ass beat or something more serious, and I won't do that again, but I definitely won't sit by and allow myself and my friends to be walked on. I don't care if it makes me look like a bitch because the people who know me know that I am not a bitch, and they are the only people who matter...not strangers.

Disney World and Epcot Dive Quest Pictures
As promised and out of order...here are the pics from Disney World and Frank's Dive Quest adventure. We stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort and in addition to going to the parks, Frank did Epcot's Dive Quest at the Living Seas aquarium. It was pretty cool because while the group was diving everyone could watch them from insude the restaurant and the exhibit.
