Killer Whales Spotted In The Gulf Of Mexico
Hundreds of Killer Whales have been spotted in the Gulf of Mexico. Normally associated with the colder waters of the north, it does seem strange. Scientists believe the whales have been in the Gulf for years, Mullin said, and that their presence - though startling to some anglers - isn't a sign of climate change or other manmade condition. Their relatively small population and the speed at which pods move make them difficult to count, which could have led to lower estimates. Click here to read the article in the Star-Telegram.

Girls Weekend
Shannon is coming down this weekend and we have a bunch of fun stuff planned. Here is a rundown:
Saturday Night - Dinner with the Pier 1 girls
Sunday - Take it easy and hang out, then head to Addison to see Brian Posehn
Monday - Shopping
Tuesday - Spa Day and BRITNEY!!
I am very excited about Tuesday. We will start the day off with lunch, then head to the Spa at The Crescent Hotel in Dallas. We will spend the afternoon there getting spa treatments, then we will get ready there and head to AAC to see Britney! Here are the treatments we are doing:
Drench Body Treatment - the ultimate spa experience, featuring the most luxurious products. Startingwith a full body organic exfoliation and mask, you will fall into deep relaxation. Theexperience continues as you melt away during your massage with a customized blendof organic shea butter, natural oils and aromatherapy.
Ayurvedic Body Treatment - derived from the traditional Pancha Karmarejuvenation therapies using herbal infused oils and a botanical body mask to exfoliate, cleanse, detoxify and nourish. Using oils selected for your specific constitution, a lightmassage is followed by a short herbal wrap.
Shirodhara Therapy - an ancient therapy used to restore the inner calm to the mind andbalance the emotions. Begin with a gentle dripping of warm herbal oil to the “thirdeye,” quieting the mind and soothing the senses. The oil is massaged into the hair andscalp, followed by an application of ayurvedic herbs that nourish hair roots andcondition the scalp. A mini-facial and massage to the hands and feet complete thistreatment.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T
I never had much respect, if any, for politicians. But usually I have respect for the leaders of our country, even if I didn't vote for them. (However) I thought Obama was going to gain that respect, but the longer he is in office the less hopeful I become. Leno appearance, Slamming the Handicapped, and Bracket picks? Seriously? Do President's have publicists? I get it...you want to be one with the people, Mr. Obama. That is why you were elected. You possessed that element of real-ness. But now that you are in office, it's important that you behave, at least present yourself, like a President. It is hard for me to have confidence in a leader who doesn't act like he is taking the job seriously. He needs to step back and rethink how he handles his new found "fame". I don't mean to offend those who support Obama. I just disagree with some of the things he has done recently. I guess it's the conservative in me coming out.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted
I am so excited to get back to the beach. Although it's been just less than a year, for some reason it feels like a lot longer since our last trip. This year...Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We have narrowed it down to Dreams All-Inclusive or Sivory. Sivory is not all-inclusive, but it only has 55 suites and is very private at the end of the island. Both look really nice. We stayed at Dreams in Tulum for Todd and Kristi's wedding and we loved it. We have done all-inclusive in the past and hated it. The food was below par and they just were not as nice as what we are used to. Dreams broke the mold for us and we definately recommend it. When we went to Belize, we stayed at a small boutique hotel, Victoria House, and loved the how private and quiet it was. This will be a tough decision.

Fertility Update
Since I had my surgery in January, I have not had a chance to truely "try". Timing was wrong in January because of the surgery and February I had a bad stomach bug when it was time to "try". So March will be my first time to really give this a go. I want to see if I can do this the natural way now that I have been cleaned out, so to speak.
Breakfast
I was never a big breakfast person. A couple years ago I started eating it every day and realized I was actually loosing weight. I like to find things I can eat on the go or at work because it is very hard for me to get up 15 minutes early to eat. My favorite breakfast right now consist of combining Vanilla yogurt, Raspberries, Blueberries, and Just Bunches Cereal. It is light, refreshing, and fills me up!

Interesting Video from The Kudlow Reoprt
I happend to catch The Kudlow Report on TV while at the gym. I don't usually watch these shows because I do not like politics or stocks, but I found this interesting.
Here are a few highlights from the video:
~Since Obama took office, the DOW has fallen by 20%
~Since Obama took office, the S&P 500 has fallen by 19%
~Since Obama took office, financial stocks have declined by 37%
Analyst are also saying this recession could last up to 36 months.

Farley, Farley, Farley
Frank and I went to the Irish Festival today. It has been a long time since we last went and it seems every time we have gone out there, the weather has been cloudy and rainy or cold. But it was such a beautiful day to be out side today, I am glad we went. A lot of people had their dogs out with them. I had the typical Irish Stew in a bread bowl washed down with a Guiness. We walked through all the booths and I got a cute ring and a green Irish wife beater (cause that's how I roll). I didn't bring my camera so I have no pics to post. Sooo yeah...

This Is How Government Is Spending The Stimulus Money
It was reported today that part of the stimulus package is going towards television converter boxes. The agency that mails out the $40 coupons ran out of money. So guess what? The President approved part of the stimulus package be allocated towards MORE free television converter boxes. Seriously? Whatever happened to "While Supplies Last"? There is so much more this money can go towards. It should not be the Government's responsibility to make sure that Edna in Gerty, OK can watch "The Wheel" on her 20 year old TV with bunny ear antennas wrapped in tin foil.

Aquariums
There are some great aquariums across America. I have been fortunate to have gone to one of the best, Monterrey Bay Aquarium in California I would love to go back. The Georgia Aquarium is another one I would like to visit. I was looking online and you can dive or swim with a Whale Shark. Everyone knows these fish are gentle giants and don't pose any threat to humans, but holy hell I would be terrified! I would do it though. When we swam with dolphins in Mexico that was kind of scary in a way because of their size. What doesn't make sense was when we swam with Nurse Sharks in Belize and large Stingrays in Cayman, I wasn't uneasy at all. What brought this up was Frank and I were talking about his Epcot scuba diving experience at Living Seas and how slightly unnerving it was to be in the tank with all those sharks. I am so ready to go on vacation. I need to get back in the water.

Julie's Birthday
Yesterday my friend Julie turned...29 again, so we went to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. I had never been there before and don't see what all the hype is about. They do have a ton of cheesecake flavors and it is good, but eh. Also their portions are out of control. I swear, a family of 4 could have eaten off my plate alone. It was rediculous. Anyway, it was nice to see my friends and be there to celebrate Julie's birthday.
